The Cap Comes Off – Donate Your Recycling Rewards Points to Gardening at the Lea School

Jan 11, 2012 12 years ago
Last week we told you that the Lea School at 47th & Locust was the recipient of a grant from Recyclebank which which will allow them to build six new raised bed gardens for students, parents, and teachers, greening their asphalt schoolyard. In order to get that money though, they need you to donate some of your recycling rewards points. The exciting news is that the cap on the number of points that you can donate has been lifted, so if you’ve already donated some of your points, you now have the opportunity to help the Lea School get a little closer to its $550 goal. And remember that if you don’t yet have a Recycling Rewards sticker (or perhaps even a recycling bin) you can stop down at UCD (3940 Chestnut St.) to get signed up with a new sticker on the spot. Click here for more information about the grant and to donate.
