Our Clean and Safe teams work seven days a week to ensure University City remains clean, safe, and welcoming.
We provide a range of services, from street cleaning and safety patrols to maintaining over 160 commercial and residential blocks. The Green Team, part of our in-house crew, cares for our signature public spaces and smaller interventions like pedestrian plazas and planters, helping to enhance the neighborhood’s beauty.
Our landscaping social venture Green City Works is a fee-for-service subsidiary that provides high quality design-build-maintenance landscaping services while offering an alternative to the way the industry trains, advances, and supports its workforce.
Our Clean and Safe teams can assist with the following within our coverage area:
- Walking escorts
- Jumpstarts and vehicle lock-out assistance
- Graffiti removal
- Well-being checks on unhoused individuals
We arrange periodic community clean-ups, attend neighborhood events to share public safety tips, and assist the community members in other ways as capacity allows. Many issues are beyond our ability to help, including illegal dumping and trash removal outside our own public trash cans, noise complaints, and sidewalk and street conditions, to name a few.
