Self proclaimed as “the vibe you’ve been waiting for,” Akwaaba Tea offers a calming oasis in University City. The tea shop is inspired by the owners’ African heritage and focuses on bringing together a variety of herbal and wellness teas that promote relaxation, balance, and health. Lulu Cafe, famous for Taiwanese street snacks and bubble tea, is moving to a new location at 28-30 S. 40th Street, with a planned reopening of March of 2025. Originally opened in 2016 by Janice Wang, Lulu takes pride in offering natural flavors, original recipes, and a carefully curated menu, plus they insist on brewing teas daily.
