Efficient Transit for Workers and Residents

Take the LUCY Bus

UCD has helped facilitated transit for students and employees working in University City. Together with SEPTA, UCD operates the Loop through University City (LUCY) bus that carries hundreds of thousands of passengers from 30th Street Station to nearby jobs every year.

Transportation Solutions

Improving How People Move Through University City

UCD collaborates with partners to tackle transportation challenges, including bike and pedestrian safety, traffic congestion, and transit routing. In 2018, we formalized these efforts by creating a Transportation Management Association (TMA), bringing together institutions, developers, and agencies to enhance mobility and connectivity across the district.

Infrastructure Improvements

Safer Streets and Better Transit Options

UCD worked with the City, TMA, and community groups to bring a protected bike lane to Chestnut Street and partnered on congestion solutions for 30th Street Station. By coordinating streetscape changes and transit projects, we’re helping improve every mode of transportation for residents and commuters.
