REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Regional nonprofits and artists worldwide are encouraged to apply for arts and cultural programming and temporary installation projects at one of Philadelphia’s great public spaces

The Porch Partnership Programming Fund is a three-round $150,000 grant-making effort for Greater Philadelphia nonprofits seeking to facilitate innovative arts and cultural projects at The Porch. The fund’s second round – with proposals due Friday, February 7, 2014 – will support projects executed between April and June, 2014. The Porch Partnership Programming Fund is made possible through the generous support of the William Penn Foundation.

Temporary Art is an open call for qualifications from emerging and/or established visual artists, designers, and architects to develop lively, engaging, and resonant temporary art to be installed at The Porch during 2014. The total budget for installations is between $50,000 and $75,000 with the goal of activating and animating The Porch. Deadline of for submissions is Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Temporary Art is made possible through the generous support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, as part of its Knight Arts Challenge.

XPN Philly Local Wednedays

From April through October, The Porch is a showcase for live music. In 2013 UCD and WPXN teamed up to present XPN Philly Local Wednesdays at The Porch. Performers included Christie Lenée, Dante Bucci, The Splashing Pearls, The Fleeting Ends, and many more.
